STAFF QUALIFICATIONS
Working at Little STEAMers Academy
Caregivers participate in orientation and ongoing training in the areas of child growth and development, healthy and safe environments, developmentally appropriate practices, guidance, family relationships, cultural and individual diversity, and professionalism.
Our caregivers are hired in compliance with the state requirements and qualifications as a base minimum.
Typical staff certifications are as follows:
Lead Teacher
Training/Certification:
- 30 hours of STARS training
- Infant/Child CPR & First Aid
- HIV/AIDS & Blood Borne Pathogens
Requirements
- Experience in teaching ECE and lesson planning
- Cleared Portable Background Check/Fingerprinting
- Cleared TB test
- Food Handler’s permit
Teacher Aide
Training/Certification:
- 30 hours of STARS training

Requirements
- An understanding of child development
